Al Foss & True Temper Packaging

The first Al Foss boxes were printed cardboard. Innovative with boxes as well as lures, Al Foss settled on a colorful tin box as the packaging for many of his lures. The metal boxes made for useful storage in the tackle box. Fairly indestructible, they survived and continued advertising the Al Foss name. Besides the standard lure tin, specialized tins for fly rod lures, pork rind, and even a fishing kit were used. Packaging ultimately returned to cardboard with a series of boxes. The last version was a plastic hinged box used by True Temper.
